The Kansas City Star reported in March 2023 that TACO NACO KC planned to expand from Overland Park into Westport. Co-founders Chef Fernanda Reyes and Brian Goldman Ruiz saw the neighborhood as a place to join other Kansas City restaurants and build community around Mexican food.
